Klipsch subwioofer(RT-10d) identifying burnt components help or schematic

Hello

Need help identifying burnt components in RT-10d
My RT-10d powers up but n sound. There is power going to display and I can make adjustments but no sound. I opened it up and found burned components but I can't identify them since no schematic.

The first image shows the burned components and the second shows the whole board. 1 is a resistor the other appears to be a diode maybe? I cannot tell. Any help would be appreciated.

If you know what these components are or where could get a schematic that would be great.

Hi,

It seems to be another resistor, just more burnt that the second (counting from the left). You can check by desoldering it/them - unless that marking has been burnt off too, the component letter is written underneath as far as I can see.

Thinking about repairing some equipment just based on the visual inspection of the devices which appear to be burned seems to me an approach without much technical foundation, since other apparently unaffected components may also be defective. The fact is that power systems generally burn from the output towards the internal parts, ie their outputs (power modules), and the presence of a burned resistor is only a hint of something more 'dramatic' having happened in other parts of the circuit close to the output. I do not consider it appropriate to try to repair without having the schematic, or even to make yourself a drawing of the nearby components. I've had to do it myself sometimes. If you change just the seared parts will not solve the problem.

Hello pete16,
Please have a look at your modified picture below:

Burned Resistors.jpg

The resistor as pointed out by the red arrow seems to be burned as well. Am I
correct in my assumption?

As andre_teprom has already stated, you seriously need to obtain a schematic
on your RT-10D device.
You'll need the diagram for identifying the values of each resistor.
I have to admit that when I was working for a computer monitor repair center,
we rarely had the luxury of schematics and had to virtually repair it blind.
One consolation was the fact that if we had the same monitor in the shop
at the same time, we could use the other as a reference.
Perhaps you need to spread the word around if someone has the same unit,
they may be able to give you those resistor values.

Going by how badly burned those components are, I'd say you have quite a
bit of unseen damage. i.e. inside the components. More than likely a fair few
semi-conductor devices.
Regards,
Relayer

Yes I agree that's why I posted originally if you could help me find a schematic that would be great.
I have searched everywhere and cannot find one for this.
So if you can show me where to find a schematic that would be appreciated.

Thanks

BTW behind the heat sink is a LM317 regulator that is gone which is probably why the resister and the other component blew out.
