Need help to design UWB antenna for C band

centre freq - 6GHz
bandwidth - 500MHz
gain - 6dB

Suggest some antenna designs that can be done for the specified parameters.
Thanks in advance.

a log periodic yagi

a little bit of redesign will bring up the lower freq closer to 6GHz

I have used several of his 2 - 11 GHz LP yagis and patch antennas they work very well <--- now that is the real definition of UWB !! :-D

hi dave

thank you for your reply.
sure will try it out and see.
do you any other suggestions like patch or wire antennas because i need less computation time

thanks

You don't need log-per antenna to achieve 8 % bandwidth. A regular yagi antenna should do.

at those freq's, you are probably right .... I did consider mentioning that but went with the LPY
