copying part of image in paint.

Dear all,
I made image of my product.I want to remove background of image & copy.then paste to ms word.where I have written description of my product.but how to copy only image of product.is there any software
For this purpose.please reply.

Isn't it this way*
Paint: select, copy
Word: insert

Thank you for reply.
When I select in paint then some part of background also theire and seen in word paste
.because whenever I select then whole rectangular area will be selected.here I want to select only portion of actual object(product).

Hi,

out of curiosity i tred it.
I opened a .png in PAINT, then select, copy. WORD: insert. An empty picture box was the result.

Then I saved the whole PAINT file as JPG.
Did the same again and the part of the picture appeared in WORD as expected.

I did not test "transparent" mode.
