Hi,

I am newbie to HFSS but i have quite some knowledge on EM and FEM modellings. I have a very simple box type geometry surrounded by an air box. I want to assign planar wave excitation on the top which is neat, and a floquet port on the bottom. This is not happening and always throws me an error "Floquet port excitation must touch the boundaries", i do not know how to fix this.
I tried assigning floquet port to the inner box which also does not work.

Any help would be appreciated.

REgards,
Vittal Rao

Re: Assigning Floquet port opposite to Plane wave

Welcome Vittal Rao,

Floquet ports need to be used in conjunction with master-slave boundaries. There is a good tutorial of this in the HFSS help.

Good Luck!
