dsPIC30F6014 microphone electret

I am using the development board of dsPIC30F6014.
I have a voice codec example. I tried with normal microphone and it works..
but it doesn´t work with electret microphone...

I think this kind of microphones need to be fed.
Has anybody know if HDST(In Si3000) is to work with electret microphones?

Does anybody know if it is possible to work with this type of micros??

electret microphone need power to work and some amplification since the output signal is in the few MV range
