Raspberry Pi camera board coming early next year

The camera has a 5 megapixel sensor, and can record 1080p H.264 video at 30 frames per second !.


 


Im just fed up of the delays. The camera was supposed to be available this year. It took them 6 months to
add two screw holes to the R-pi board and still cheap out with the SD card connector which is friction fit (yuk).
Also, what would have been more useful to more people may have been the ability to interface multiple lower-res
cameras via a standard i/f, rather than a single hi-res camera.
Plus, it seems it may not be possible to 'overlay' before performing H.264 conversion from the camera output.
