Hi,

I am a user of Altium Deigner Summer 09.

In some cases we get a DXF file of a component and we have to import it in PCB to produce a PCB component. All PADS/HOLES shall be imported as PADS/HOLES and all other body lines and non-electrical objects shall also be imported.

Looking forward for your help.

Regards,
Maqbool

Hi,

First of all you have to check plugins for DXF is installed are not.

After installing them file/import DXF/DWG.

I believe Altium had issue with DXF import directly to where you would make the footprint. I believe I called it into the board data then copied it over to the footprint. I haven't used Altium for a while so if it doesn't make sense please ignore it.
