Filter circuit, PWM driven, Polyester or Ceramic Capacitors ??

Here it is in a nutshell,
I have an LC, filter circuit, being driven by a PWM @ 1Khz, the object of which is to filter the output to a variable DC value based on the duty cycle of the PWM.
Should I chose a polyester cap or a ceramic cap for this circuit?
