Is there some reason why you don't want to use a transistor or a thyristor(triac)??

No.... an example?

two mosfets in commen source connection

Is the switch going to be unipolar or bipolar?
I mean is the current through your load DC or AC?

OPTOISOLATED, UNIPOLAR AND DC.

Sorry if it sounds too simple but you seem to be looking for a transistor optocoupler with an additional transistor for current gain(in other words a darlington whose first transistor is inside the optocoupler and the other is external).

yes... is there an opto with darlington output?
