problem with c18 and pickit 3

I am trying a simple led blinking program to burn on pic18f2550 mcu. I am using Pickit 3.It is burning ok with Hi-Tech c compiler but getting problem with c18 compiler. Is pickit 3 is not compatible with c18 compiler? Can anybody help me?
