Generation of clock in ADC

Hi,

I had output voltage from solar panel, i want to connect that output to ADC

but ADC require clock frequency....

can any one give me suggestion to how clock will produce in that ADC....

thanks...
 

ADCs are there which dont need any external clock, shall sample by internal clock. Or you can just make a 555 timer to produce clock since the input signal is not source syncronized and of course it is DC only... Go green
