surface mount diode markings

I have a shortcircuited (it failed) surface mount component. I'm pretty sure it is a diode.
It´s associated to the power supply board area.
The size of the package (plastic) is 4 x 3 mm (i.e. 160 x 120 mils). Cathode is marked with a line. I believe the package is SMB

Marks:

On the top left corner the word "ON" in a circle (this is a logo), to the rigth of this logo 249 and exactly below the "249" is B14

non code from Onsemi aplies to this diode, but the logo sugest it could be Onsemi...

Thank you for help me. It´s saturday night and I'm in a hurry with this stuff. :x

surface mount diode identification

thanks Echo7! :D

Nevertheless if you search b14 in the home page of ON Semiconductor you get zener diodes!!!. See yourself: https://www.onsemi.com/site/products/searchresults/0,4533,,00.html?searchString=b14 in SMB packages too.

Because it is a multilayer board it´s pretty difficult to draw the circuit.

The diode was a B14.
What a mess is to identify a surface mount component identification guys.

diode identification

Search engines!
I entered "diode marking B14" into the "General" search field at https://www.onsemi.com/
Hit #5 was the good one.

Happy troubleshooting. :)
