hi everyone....my final year project is about statistical analysis for dna sequence alignment....i have to find the e-value....the e-value formula is like below....but seems that i can't understand about it....can anyone help to explain about it for me......i need to write it in verilog.....:-|

There is no formula given in your post.

sorry....here is the formula....

E = Kmne-λx

The formula has only straight multiplications and subtraction in it. So where are you struck?

I suggest you learn some verilog basics first. Then you will know that its not something difficult.

I suspect that "E = Kmne-λx" is meant as "E = K*m*n*exp(-λ*x)", which now also somewhat fits with the title of the post...

So I suspect that he basically is asking for a verilog implementation of the exp power function...

thanks....i will do as you suggest....
