3 axes stepper motor controller

HEllo all

I have some stepper motor's from hard disk and cdrom's(I heard that they are not stepper but DC brushless=??). I want to make controller for this 3 motors.

Which circuit is the easiest and cheapest to make DIY controller for this 3 motor's. I would like to make usb driver not LPT(because I don't have LPT port on my notebook, also don't have express card...)? I wan to use with software in WINDOWS;
