mpeg4 codec for fpga

Hi,

I want to implement my own mpeg2/4 codec design and was wondering what kind of FPGA (and what size) I would need to accomplish this. Thank you.

I think the original question was to find a coder / decoder .. Not to buy an IP from some vendor..

I am not sure that implementing an MPEG2 codec in an FPGA will be an economical solution, but if cost is not an issue .. Why not? Now there are around some 'partial' implementation, but I never found a 'complete' codec..

Cheers

Maybe xilinx's vitex2-8000 can do it.
