Hello I am using an analogue meter to read the rf power out of an SSB signal. The transitions of the ssb signal are just too fast for the meter to read so I need a a circuit to read the peak (max rf pwr) and keep the reading on the meter for some time.

I would like a simple circuit if possible not to use ICs.

Thank you

This is an example of a simple S-meter circuit.
