Bluetooth and UART

Hi,

I'm trying to interface a Bluetooth module (LM072) with a PIC32MX via UART.
I know the maximum UART bit rate for the PIC32 is 20Mbps
I also know the Bluetooth module transfers data aver the air at 3Mbps tops.
But I can't find anywhere what the maximum bit rate for the UART interface of the Bluetooth module is.
I understand that this value must be higher than 3Mbps and that this is the bit rate the PIC32 must transfer data at to obtain the highest data rate one can get with the LM072.

Does anyone know he answer or could tell me what "Full bluetooth data rate over UART" implies?

Here's is the official site of the Bluetooth module

And its datasheet

Thank you

Re: Bluetooth and UART

Hi,

Loking at the datasheets for similar class 1 modules they can do up to 3Mbaud on the UART, would assume they will all have similar specs.

Re: Bluetooth and UART

I actually found 1,5Mps in the BlueCore 4-Ext website.
But in the datasheet of the BlueCore 4-Ext they say the UART can transfer at 3Mps.....
Anyway, I'll go with 3Mps

Thanks
