Actually I want to calculate the No of rotations by sensing that Black mark.
So pls tell me about the suitable sensor for that?
Give me details of common sensor in the market.

HI

You can use a LED & Phototransistor cuple to sense a missing signal or an interrupted beam

You can also search google for "missing beam detector circuit"

I want to furthur clarify is the beam missed when it reflect from black surface.
If it is so LED & phototransistor couple good for mo work.
