Hello,

I am looking at accurately modeling cavity filters using either HFSS or CST. I would like to take the surface roughness of the cavity into consideration when I calculate the Q of the structure. Does anyone know how to do this?

Thank you in advance,

-john.

In HFSS, you can set a surface roughness boundary on the walls of the cavity. You can either define the roughness, or define a conductivity. I am not sure about CST.

Good Luck
