Kenwood DP-1000 CD Player Problem

Hi,

I just bought a DP-1000 CD player. Therewas no remote with it but shows "IR sensor" printed on front panel. It has a 7~8 pin DIN connection at back marked "external". I want to connect it with my existing Kenwood amplifer whis has a system remote control. but the connecting cable at back is not compatible. Can somebody help please. If a service mannual is available that will be a great help.
