what does tx and rx mean

Hi All,

• Rx current 39mA
• Tx current 39mA
Should Rx and Tx current drawn be less to improve the power efficiency?

• Receiver sensitivity -97dBm
What does Decibels /meter mean?Should this be more negative for a better sensitive TX or RX?

• Transmit power +3dBm
Should this value be higher to have a better range(distance)?

Thanks in advance

For RX/TX battery usage, 39mA is more than acceptable value.

-97dBm represents a usual value for receiver sensitivity (negative is fine).
dBm means:

Yes, if TX power is greater than +3dBm you get better range. But the DC power consumption will be higher.
