patch antenna

Hello, I am designing a microstrip patch antenna and I use waveport like excitation. Can I use the waveport without defining a integration line or it's always necesary? Thank you.

Re: patch antenna

Simulate one by defining integration line and one without and take a look at the difference. Then you know.

As far as I remember, it is not always necessary.
