Hello

I was wondering how can i connect between Spartan 3A FPGA & PC through the RS232 Serial port.. Is there any kind of tutorial that can show me step by step ??

I need to send & receive data from the FPGA to the PC\

Thanks

You will need Rx/Tx UARTs as low level blocks. To send or receive messages longer than one single character, a sequential program flow, typically in a state machine has to be created.

A basic UART at opencores:

It has been working and is working now. May be opencores.org has been unavailable (as EDAboard sometimes).
