The meaning of the port impedance of a lumped port (HFSS)

Hello everyone:

How does HFSS adjust the field of a lumped port to satisfiy the port impedance we assign? Thanks.

well, it does not adjust the field at all. the field on a port surface is just determined by the geometry of the structure. the impedance you enter, is used as the reference imperdance for scattering matrix calculations. actually it is a post-processing action.
