Hi all,

I have just completed my previous task on simulating a fading process with a first order butterworth filter. What I did was to run the following space-state equation for 10,000 time points and taking FFT of it.

x(k+1)=x(k)exp^(-wT) + w(k), where w(k) is noise

Next, I am tasked to find the BER for a BPSK signal going through the fading channel and AWGN is to be added to the transmitted signal. Assuming that the channel estimation is perfect, the only thing i need to compute is the magnitude^2 of the fading coefficient. However, I do not know how to obtain it. Can someone please enlighten me? Thank you.
