I want to buy a developing board to practice CPLD and Verilog programming. coolrunner seems to be a choise, but I wonder if I want to practice 44pin, what should I do? because in CoolRunner developing kit there is no 44pin device. It is said there is 44pin pad for it, but what I need to do to let it support 44pin CPLD programming? any suggustion is welcome.

I think you mean the Coolrunner II Design Kit. This board comes with a XC2C256 in a TQ144-case. Optionally an additional XC2C64 in a VQ44-case can be soldered on that board, but it isn't necessary. I'm attaching the reference manual for your info.

Regards
Mik
