Hello Everyone;
In a circuit using GALI-5 amplifier from minicircuits, second harmonic was seen in spectrum analyzer. But simulation with ADS2004 (Harmonic Balance 1-tone analysis) hasn't show second harmonic. What is the reason?

ADS simulation [hlp]

u need to enter the IIP3 and the 1 dB compression point of the model

I have entered IP3 and 1dB comp. point, but in the simulation result under even harmonics was written: "invalid".

ADS simulation [hlp]

i think u need also to enter the SOI like the TOI , so SOI will make the even harmonics generated

can u upload the project

ADS simulation [hlp]

Use TOI + SOI to represent the nonlinearity of the amplifer, then you can see the second harmonics

Re: ADS simulation [hlp]

I think transient simulation shows the harmonics.
At we can see the distortion in signal.
for confirmation why don't u try transient simulation.
do that & tell us the result.
