We can do the impedance matching with S parameter. But it is well-known that the S parameter is correct only for linear part,on which the testing signal is small. At the LO port of mixer, the signal is large. How can I do the impedance matching?

Thank you for your help!

Hi,

Are you measuring or simulating?

Hello, I am simulating. Thank you.

Hi,

Are you using ADS? You can do it by LSSP and HB pallete...

Goodluck....

Thank you. But I use the cadence`s spectreRF, what can I use?

in also specreteRF u can get the large signal input impedance of the LO port of the mixer , and design ur matching circuit

in some cases the matching crcuits are not needed at all . if both the Osc. and Mixer are integrated , so the matching circuit is not needed

khouly

LO matching isn't critical...
