what are the advantages and disadvantages if an amplifier has

i) high input impedance
ii)high output impedance
iii)low input impedance
iv)low output impedance

which of these is better ?

Re: high input impedance and low output impedance

if a amplifier has high input impedance and low output impedance. It may be make the amplifier lose out on amplification :?:
I think low input impedance and high output impedance are the better

It all depends on what kind of amplifier you are talking about - voltage or current or transconductance or transresistance amplifiers!!!

Re: impedance

the_risk_master you are right  . But I was studed that. Maybe i wrong . Can you tell me the reason ,if i wrong ,plz:?: .Thanks

Re: impedance

based on the requirement of the amplifier we will take one of the form of impedance.
for opamp case high input impedance and low output impedance is required.

Re: impedance

i agree with ravitest it based on rrequirement of the amplifier

impedance

for emitter based amplifier it is bettar that RC/Rin>>1 for high gain amplification
