low side and high side drivers

Hi,
what does one mean when he says low side driver and high side driver.
 

Usually low side driver is NMOS and high side driver is PMOS.
 

fuzzy_boy,
If you define Qh as the transistor that supplies the more positive voltage to a load, and Ql as the transistor that supplies the more negative voltage to a load, then the circuit that turns Qh on (or off) is called the high side driver, and the circuit that turns Ql on (or off) is called the low side driver.
