if i give positive feedback on opamp on positive terminal not on negative terminal how does value of gain changes of both non-invering and inverting amplifier i am confused all buks have worked on negative feed back but what happens if we give positive feedback and removing the negative feedback from opamp

Positive feedback without negative feedback converts amplifier into Schmitt trigger (i.e. comparator with hysteresis.).

i agree with gevy... when feedback is given to the positive terminal it becomes positive feedback and due to the high gain of the op amp the circuit becomes a very good comparator.... this feedback can be effectively used to convert the circuit into a schmitt trigger....

inputing to positive terminal will increase the output to the extent of supply voltage level in both direction.

a high gain amplifier would saturate.
