hi all,
what nano route will do 4 the design, what r the main steps in nano route
what r the options in detailed route optimisation
thanks & regards

nano route

Nano route is for signal routing.. It first divides the chip into small blocks (known as grids) and route from a grid to grid.. then route within the grid.. the tools optimizises its own routing by rerouting for better routing possibilities to reduce congestion and for better timing and for better metal densities.

nano route

nano route does routing in two steps.. one Global routing n detailed routing...
in global routing chip is divided intp G-cells n pin assignment is done ...
these are used in detailed routing for efficiently connecting all components...

options for optimization ... well i hav to luk around for this .. shall reply asap

Re: nano route

You can optimize the routing for TPT, SI,Timing,Congestion.

For TPT - Use multi-threading or Super-Threading
For SI - You can set multiple spaces for selected nets or you can shiled it
For Timing - Do priority routing for timing critical nets
For congestion - try to keep overcon below 0.5(depends on the router)

nano route

what is meant by TPT,and what is multi-threading & Super-Threading

thanku
