palm III, key board

Anyone have a schematic or some idea how to connect a keyboard to a palm pilot III

Just visit

http://www.mujweb.cz/www/hysy/EasyType.htm

There is a complete package, including soft- and hardware to
introduce a standard PC- Keyboard to any Palm.
Takes advantage of an AT89C2051 - also helpful to attach
PC-keyboards to other projects.

Hope it helps

microcontroller

Do u have a code for the microcontroller, or are there some one out there how has?!

The application includes also the required AT89C2051 snippets- if you
need a programmer for the microcontroller, you have a couple of
choices:

Contact a local amateurs radio club- they are most likely capable of
programming a 2051

Contact a local High School or University

Ask the local Atmel representative for support.

Or build your own programmer. The required info can be found at

http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resources/prod_documents/DOC0285.PDF
http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resources/prod_documents/APCPGM.EXE

including schematics and software. Some adaption may be required, to
adopt for PC speed deviations.

You would also get a lot of further suggestions, if you search the web
for "AT89C2051" and "programmer" e.g. for Google use
+"AT89C2051" +"programmer".

hex code!?

We do not offer a build adapter nor software for microcontroller, but try to ask about other possibilities (sending preprogrammed microcontroller).

This is from the page! So where did you find the code for the microcontroller. If you have it please send it to me fysiker@hotmail.com

May be a change in policy ;o)) - so just take a jump to

**broken link removed**

and voilà there you get source code and bin files for the project.
(Look for "sourcecode")

Hints for the sourcecode: global.inc is part of TASM- Assembler - just the
register definitions of an 8051, sysmacro.inc is not used at all and the line
may be deleted ;o))

So hurry- policies are changing soooo fast these days.
