Director, Product Marketing
Description:
Responsible for developing marketing and business plans and activities for specific product(s) or product line(s) to establish, enhance, or distinguish product placement within the competitive arena.
Meets the financial plan by defining creative marketing programs to grow business and market share.
Defines and coordinates sales collateral development, pricing and packaging strategies, competitive analysis, product roll out, and sales training.
Works closely with the field organization to identify and drive strategic business opportunities.
Works with customers, R&D, and application engineering teams and sets the strategic vision and product plans in the marketplace.
Identifies new market opportunities and drives plans to exploit new markets.
Defines internal and external messaging and positioning of the product line.
Develops and manages relationships with key customers and strategic vendor partners.
Develops corporate and/or organizational policies and authorizes their implementation.
Provides general direction to and review of senior managers in various areas, groups, and/or operations.
Interacts internally and externally with executive level management requiring negotiation of extremely difficult matters to influence policy-making bodies.
Directs and controls the activities of two or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, service groups, etc., through senior managers with overall responsibility for the direction of those assigned areas.
Requirements:
BS with 14+ years of relevant experience, MS with 12+ years of relevant experience, or related Ph.D. with 8+ years of experience in a product marketing role for software products in the high tech industry.
Technical orientation and understanding of ASIC design process is important.
An innovative energetic leader and individual with a decisive style and attentiveness to current and future customer and market trends.
Proven ability to work in a matrix environment.
Track record of successfully launching, managing and growing products.
Exceptional communication and public speaking skills.
Experience in the EDA industry is preferred.
Experience in the physical verification space as well as physical design experience is a must.
