What's simpler Berenger PML or Gedney UPML?

I want to know which one is more common used in EM simulation toward Berenger PML and Gedney PML(UPML)?Which one is more simple?Thanks!!!

There is no different of absorbing effects between UPML and PML.
But UPML is easy to understand and implement.

How can one implement 3D FDTD UPML using C++.

Dear all
pml ,upml and cpml all of them absorbing boundry condition u can implement any of them and the eror will not be large but each of them tequneques used in absorbing so if u want any code for matlab in cpml u can find it in dr atef elsherbin book that book will help u very much about cpml.
