How to build a digital weight gauge

Hi, All

I want to build a digital weight gauge that could measure the weight someone above.
Please tell me what sensor that i can use.
 

Hi,

They called as "loadcell".

If you open Google, write "loadcell" and search, you can reach more than 100.000 links.

or load sensor

or i want to give you an new i dea that i work on

mau you can help me in it

that using the distance sensor
the method

we want in our expermint an ideal plate (somebody stand on it)
and fixiate the distance sensore under it
and when we applied the wight of the stand body to th ebending of the metal

we will calculate the wight easly

i will try it at first
we use it in calculate the strok power

you must more specific about your project, one can help you if you give more clear information, for example, if you want to build digital weigh meter then you must determine:
1. what sensor you must use
2. what controller you must use
3. input
4. output
5. feature
