fr406 dialectric constant rogers

hi
for designing Lna at 2 GHz i think GML 1000 will be good enough
it is less cost as compared to FR4
u can try this gml 1000 i think it is frm gil technologies
i used the same & it is good

pcb material fr4 dielectric constant

Please give us some price info on the GIL material, compared to FR4 and rogers 3000 and 4000 series.
Thanks

Is FR4 good enough to be used to design LNA at 2GHz??

i work with it up to 3.5 ghz, and got good results

Are u sure??
I have made a design fro WLAN using FR4 as it has low price. My conclusion also stated that i do not recommend FR4 print.

Regarding dielectric constant, i mean FR4are availble in differnet layers, where the producers define the exact dielectric constant. The one i used had a constan of 4.7

fr-4 highfrequency

hi olxx
The dielectrical constant of FR4 is 4.4,topic at 10GHz
It is usually used at the frequency low 5GHz.
