notepad++ plugins systemverilog

vi is my favourite.

systemverilog emacs vim

I like vi
It is simple and powerful
The keyword can high light display
The keyboard is enough and no need to use mouse

vhdl editors vi

I dont know much abt Emacs... NEDIT is nothing but a notepad in Windows... As per my knowledge GVIM is the best..

system verilog emacs mode

Yeah.. EMACS is no.1 :)

No matter how... Once u get used to it, you can write coding rapidly. I vote it no.1 in EDA editor.

vhdl add ons for ultraedit

emacs and ActiveHDL (Aldec) !!! The best ...

ultaredit vhdl

I have been stuck with GVIM for a long time !!!! :D

gvim systemverilog

i think activeHDL is recommanded
I think this is the best tool for writing verilog/vhdl code with good documentation and templates!

notepad++ systemverilog plugin

A\ltera Quartus-II 7.2sp1's integrated editor is also pretty good -- automatic collapsing/uncollapsing of modules!

ultraedit systemverilog syntax highlight

I have 2 years of VIM experience in Verilog design.
But when I met with EMACS with verilog-mode, I changed to emacs since then. Emacs gives me the most flexibility in edit. and verilog-mode save me so much time in verilog hierarchy instantiations.

But I confess that, emacs is more difficult than anything else. the learning curve is comparatively long.
If you have solid programing background especially functional programing basis. I suggest emacs with verilog-mode. Otherwise, use vim or else.

systemverilog emacs mode

I prefer to vim. It's really a nice editor for programming.

ultraedit nedit windows

i'm using modelsim, but i want to try Emacs later

system verilog emacs

notepad ++ is the best !!! (now for windows only)

vim vhdl plugin download

emacs with verilog mode, the auto complete is very good. Not try VHDL/SystemVerilog.

kate systemverilog highlight

all (must ) follows the same rules of hdl .

rest of think is your !

code > editor >

result + error list + etc

nedit system verilog syntax highlighting

i think vim is very good, till now I have not used emacs

Emacs is too difficult, and VI is too ugly, and Gvim is a stupid thing in Windows...

Please don't make such comments unless you know what is it.
Learning emacs is like learning to drive a car, hard to learn but
becomes as easy as reflexes once you know how to do it.
The features of emacs.. They are incomparable with other..
I'll post a new topic on some useful tricks of emacs for vlsi
engineers that i learned from my experience.

There is a nice book from o-reilly "GNU emacs" in nutshell series..
However it does have much info about VHDL or verilog mode.
below are some references you can use....
but if you really want to learn emacs the best way is use it often.
Well there is another editor i found good..."Simplifide"
which is a eclipse bases plug in.
Its still in development but still quit useful.

configure xilinx ise to use vim

i too need active hdl can anyone provide me
