What is skin depth?
Why it is neglected at high frequency (in the rande of GHz)?

skin depth?

skin depth is the depth an electromagnetic wave peneterates a non ideal metal. for higher frequency skin depth becomes very small

skin depth?

the thickness of the wire that current passes through

Re: skin depth?

due to boundary conditions, current at high frequency tends to flow closer to the surface of the conductor, so , the actual thickness that the current flow through not the whole thickness but a smaller portion of it depending on the frequency
