character recognition matlab

i know matlab little bit ,but I am unable to write such a huge code
my requirment is to develop the small prototype code
for converting langauges in to englesh
such as:
for devnagari lipi or english language
convert languages to diffrent languages

my reading is continius about matlab but it required time ,
if some one help me for some better link for farther reading / code for this task.

Hello Manish

Developing Character Recognition is a difficult task especially any language HINDI or DEVNAGRI LIPI.
I have assumed that you must be using some scanner for reading Devnagri Lipi.
First you have to train a neural network for all the characters of Devnagri lipi
to corresponding character of English.
Secondly there can problem of noise in the character reading process.So you have to also take care of that.

As I understand you have two completely different tasks:
1. character recognition
2. automated translation
The both of them are very complicated (especially the second one by my oppinion). I suggest you to concentrate on one of them.
If it is the first one, there is a nice demo in Matlab, but not for handwritten characters.
For the second one you should know that the problem is not considered as a solved (worldwide). But you may try after gathering a lot of knowledne for the both languages you choose!

IT IS ALREDY KNOWN TO ME.
I NEED FARTHER MORE HINTS FOR CLEAR VIWE TO GO FURTHER WRITTEN CODE IN PROPER DIEREDTION.
