tablet mouse schematic

We change the resistance in a potentiometer mechanically.
I want to design a digital potentiometer(variable Resistor) whcose Resistance can be changed by just using different combination
Let say i have 2 bits then 4 combination so it covers total value of that potentiometer
Is there something like that exist if yes plz tell.

there are a few made in it also some dlls to add in
for maxim type's i add to this dll if people need a model
just let me know

try out devices like ad8403
this one takes a 10bit data word and the upper two bits select the pot to address
with the lower 8bit value
i vsmlibs archive is some test designs with micros you can try out

take a look at an old pipedream i had {and actualy half built}
then reused

its an old design now made using proteus lite

its not for simulation just a schematic of a wonderfull tablet mouse driven 4 channel 4 decks etc +other i/o dj mixer


you can download the demo of proteus pro
and use goto sheet to see all the sheets in the design


the implimentation in electrical terms of there use is ok
as is the ad8403 but no code was constructed atall

however its easy tomake one in c picc or something
a 40mhz chip will run it pic18f or something
