search for a methode to know the number of PCB layers

Can any one guid me to know the number of layers that a ready made PCB contains. I had one that I suggets it will be 6 or 8. can any one help.

If you look very carefully along the edge of the board, you should be able to see each layer.
 

Layers

You can cut a peace of the PCB and peel off the layers.

Keep in mind that if you do this your PCB gets worthloss!!!!!!
So only use this method if you don't need the PCB anymore.

edge method

The looking at the edge method is not destructive but you will miss layers that do not go to the edge. Powe planes frequently are pulled back for EMI reduction.

To reveal these layers, take a file to the edge of the board in an area that this changing the dimensions will do the least harm.
