Windows XP

To enable the viewing of Hidden files follow these steps:

Close all programs so that you are at your desktop.

Double-click on the My Computer icon.

Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.

After the new window appears select the View tab.

Put a checkmark in the checkbox labeled Display the contents of system folders.

Under the Hidden files and folders section select the radio button labeled Show hidden files and folders.

Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide file extensions for known file types.

Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files.

Press the Apply button and then the OK button and shutdown My Computer.

why hidden files cannot be seen

the scrip worked ok, but after some seconds the hidden files dissappear again, can someone tell me how to fix it definitly?

hidden file can not show

hi,

yes , after you correct the registry thrugh RUN and edit the DWORD NO. to 1

you right now can see the hiden file BUT THE IMPORTANT POINT FOR IRREMEABLE OF THE HIDEN FILE YOU MUST GO TO EVERY FOLDER AND SELECT EVERY HIDEN FILE AND CHOOSE PROPERTY THEN TAKE THE HIDEN TICK.

AFTER EFFECTING THESE CASES YOU CAN CLOSE ALL OF YOUR WINDOWS

AND RESTART YOUR PC .

NOW YOU CAN SEE ALL OF YOUR HIDEN FILE ARE WATCHABLE AND DONT HIDE

NEVER TILL YOU WANT TO HIDE THEM AGAIN NORMALY.

BUT IF YOU SEE THE TOOLS OPTION AND IN VIEW SECTION YOU WILL BE
SURPRISED BECAUSE THE HIDEN FILE HAS A ( TICK ) IN THIS CASE YOU
MUST SCAN YOUR PC FROM BOOT BY YOUR UPDATED ANTIVIRUSE.

HOPE TO BE SUCSSES AND WAITING TO YOUR OTHER QUESTIONS.
