poly fuse or metal fuse

metal fuse

hi ,if trimming which kind of fuse would you use? my fab gave me an example that is poly,but i know many people use metal .

Hi,
Try to use Antifuse which are a OTP (non volatil memory) , make a good trimming

it's dependent which type fuse types your process owner recommded to you.
two types are all ok.

If you use a metal fude it is much easier for the fab to "option in/out" resistors. Also for testing the closer to the top layer of metal you use the quicker and cheaper for a new mask and easyier to probe.
Poly is more resistive , ie less space however would be prone to more noise.
