Well the Firefly PCB artwork has just been completed. Here's a sketchup drawing of what it will look like.

Thanks, it's called Sketchup https://www.sketchup.com/ Going to play with the browser plugin, I'll put the 3D files on my site if it works.

Hmm.....I see....Does Sketchup has libraries for drawing all those electronic stuff or you have to draw all by yourself?

very nice picture I have downloded the demo but it look hard to use

I will have to do some playing by the time i get to learn it the trail will run out

i se that it does not come with electronic components

The firefly is a companion product designed for use with the Inchworm ICD2 (although any ICD / ICP like the JDM should work, as long as it's not a LVP) Here's the schematic for the PCB but since I sell the PCB as a kit I generally don't distribute it. It's also double sided so would be difficult for most to etch.

There is a free Google Sketchup version, search for that.

Hi blueroomelectronics,
Can you tell me how you drew that PCB with SketchUp? Is there any library available for that? A small tutorial would be great for many of us users. :D

That looks very nice, I have now got the free version to play with,
I have been doing a little playing and i think it is quite easy program to use

How did you create your components, I understabd how you creaated the Cap and resistor bu how did you create the Chip and the chip pins that's one i can not master

the best electronic pcb and schematic 3d prog are pcbwizard and autotraxeda they are very easy to used and ment for pcb and schematic designing if you need it pm me hxxp://www.new-wave-concepts.com/ed/pw_tour1.html

all dip (8 to 40)

resistors & caps

and a lot of things

there is also a web site for computer parts

Hi all.

I know about EAGLE3D plugin that use POVRAY to drawing th 3D pcbs.

How do you design the PCB? with a plugin or with many time and work?
