Dear all :

When I design a low pass filter for the pll, I can use MOS capacitor or double
poly capacitor, which capacitor is better to use for pll design ?

I only know MOS capacitor need have enough vgs(over vth) to keep the
capacitor value, but I don't know NMOS capacitor and PMOS capacitor other limit
conditions for use in circuit.

Thanks for your help!!

Generally speaking MOS capacitor is used for less area than PIP cap.

There are many topics about PIP(MIM)cap vs. mos cap. you can search it in this forum.

For PLL, I know you can use both of them to reduce die area, because they use different layers.
