hello,

What's the meaning of gerber format 5.5?
Please correct if i am wrong.It generates the coordinates in e.g. 00000.00000 format.

Can i generate file in ,suppose 3.2 or 7.4 like.And what is the impact in manufacturing?

You are correct, 3.2 is 000.00 and 2.5 is 00.0000. If the selected units are in inches for 2.5 the maximum size is 99.9999 inches and the minimum is 00.0001 inches ( 0.1 mil).

I always use 2.5 - Inches.

Added after 3 minutes:

I am sorry, I missed a 0

2.5 is 00.00000 and 3.2 is 000.00

at 2.5 the precision is .01 mil.
