how to generate prbs

I am doing a optical receiver, now I encounter a problem to generate a PRBS input to test my circuit.

Anyone here knows how to generate the PRBS input in current format?

Thank you very much!

Thank you for your help.

"current mode" means the input for my optical receiver is in current format, for example 10uA as the output nature of the photodiode.

i just learned that PRBS can be generated from a matlab using some scripts, or digital circuits as described above.

I will try to import the PRBS to Cadence, hopefully I can find any ideal switch which can controlled by the PRBS and connected with a current source in series, so I can build a PRBS current.
