help required on microwave transmitter design

hi,

can any body give me the general archtecture on MW transmiter. I want to design a transmiter that could work in L-band. I am new to this field (MW). So, i really need the help that could be a nice starting!
 

frist of all u need to know the different architectures of transmitters , two step up converssion , or direct converssion , and so on

then u nned to check and know each block how to be implemented as circuit level , whcih mixer topology , the local oscillator design , and power amplifier , and so on

for architectures , check on Razavi "RF microelectronics"
