hi guys, i need a circuit diagram of a PIC16F877 programmer, cos i'll like to build it myself from scratch. Also dont mind an explanation of how it works.

Here you can find a simple programmer tool. You can download it for free. On the bottom of the page you can find schematics of various tools (eg. serial and parallel programmer, etc.)
Anyway, I've never built or used it but hope this helps!

It's not as simple as a JDM design but it's far more reliable and you get a debugger too. Because it's MPLAB compatible you get the latest chip support too!
